Yes, the school has about 150 CCTV cameras.
The school is up to Class VII for the Academic Session 2025-26 and will eventually move up to Class XII.

- Parents seeking admission to NPS Silk Board are requested to fill the registration form and submit the completed form online. Kindly do not leave any field empty, as incomplete forms will not be accepted.
- Students are required to take a Proficiency Assessment which will be based on the syllabus as follows
- SPA scheduled from September to March will cover entire syllabus of the previous academic year and first term syllabus of the current academic year
- SPA scheduled for April/May, will cover entire syllabus of the previous academic year and current academic year

Pre-Primary
Nursery – 8:15 am – 12:00 noon – Entire academic year
KG 1 – 8:15 am – 12:00 noon for Term 1. 8:15 am – 2:30 pm from Term 2
KG 2 – 8:15 am – 12:00 noon Month of June, 8:15 am – 2:30 pm from July onwards - For students of Class 1 and above, the school begins at 7.55 am and ends at 2.35 pm with a mid-morning snack break and afternoon lunch break
Each class would have an average of 30-32 students
The Student Teacher ratio is 15:1
The period from the month of June to March is referred to as Academic Calendar.
The school will facilitate provision of textbooks and notebooks
For Pre-Primary:
- Notebooks and Text books need not be covered
For Classes 1 to 7:

- For Text books stick labels on the top right-hand corner of the textbook
- Mention the name of the student and class on the label
- The section and the subject will be entered later
- Refrain from using fancy labels
Pre-primary at National Public School Silk Board, follows the Kindergarten method of teaching, for the Early learners. Children learn through fun- filled and engaging activities which involve music and movement, art and craft and several hands-on activities. The important skills that are focussed during their early learning years are Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Communication, Social and thinking skills. The structured Library Reading Program enhances the reading skills and makes them confident young readers. The curriculum is planned keeping in mind all the Multiple intelligences, integrating technology, Cooperative Learning structures and Differentiated Instruction to make it child centric.

Yes, the school has Parent Communication systems through the almanac and an online Parent portal- NPS Connect and the ‘Friday Folder’ posted every ‘Friday’ on NPS Connect. NPS Silk Board hosts a state-of-the-art secured internet-based portal – NPS Connect that also allows parents to easily keep track of their children’s progress in school. This service provides parents with up-to-date information to ensure that parents stay better informed about their children's activities. NPS Silk Board values parental involvement and this is an additional system NPS uses to create a stronger relationship between parents and the school community.
School has Summer, Dussehra and Christmas breaks.
